
Monte’s Sesquicentenary Mass

Monte Sant’ Angelo Mercy College, founded by the Sisters of Mercy North Sydney in 1875, has upheld a proud tradition of excellence in educating, nurturing, and empowering young women for 150 years.
In the College’s Sesquicentenary year of 2025, the College honoured the enduring legacy of the Sisters of Mercy of North Sydney and celebrated the College’s pivotal contribution to Catholic education in Australia.
Mercy Partners Board Chair, Dr Ricki Jeffery, and CEO, John Leahy had the pleasure to join the College Board and Principal in attending the Sesquicentenary Mass and celebrate the College’s amazing history of being a leader in dynamic and innovative Catholic education.

All Hallows’ Blessing of St Gertrude’s Playground

On Thursday, 20 February 2025 Mercy Partners’ Deputy Chair, Kieran McCarthy had the pleasure to attend the All Hallows’ School celebration of the Blessing of St Gertrude’s Playground.
All Hallows’ School is very appreciative to the generous All Hallows’ School donors, Foundation, and Parents and Friends’ Association for their support of the renovation of St Gertrude’s Playground. This is a wonderful space for the Year 5 and 6 AHSisters now and in the future.

QCEC Governance Review

Mercy Partners Board Director, Prof Lee Anne Perry, attended a online update provided by the Queensland Catholic Education Commission (QCEC) on 4 February 2025. The information session provided information on the upcoming changes to the governance structure of Catholic education in Queensland.
The session detailed the transition from Queensland Catholic Education Commission to a new peak body, Catholic Education Queensland Limited (CQL), following a comprehensive review commissioned by the Queensland Bishops.
