3rd February: Board Formation Session
Mount Alvernia College, Kedron
On Friday 3 February 2023 Mercy Partners Chair, Dr Ricki Jeffery and Director of Formation, Dr Caroline Thompson met with and attended a formation session with the Board of Mount Alvernia College.
The Board examined the nature of PJP’s and the canonical responsibilities of Ministry Boards of Mercy Partners. This session also included the presentation of a picture of Elizabeth Hayes commissioned by Mercy Partners to celebrate the 2022 year of charism.
10th February: Opening School Mass
Our Lady of Mercy Parramatta, Parramatta
On Friday 10 February 2023 Mercy Partners attended the Our Lady of Mercy College Parramatta Opening School Mass held in the Ailsa Mackinnon Community Centre.
It was wonderful to see the Sisters of Mercy leadership team, the school executive, and the students of the college at this significant event.
22nd February: Virtual Seminar, Encountering Mercy in the now: Fanning Sparks into Flames

On Wednesday 22 February 2023 Dr Caroline Thompson was the speaker for the first of three facilitated virtual experiences – Part One: Tending the embers: Encountering the vision and mission of Catherine McAuley in the Now.
Caroline presented on the topic “Catherine McAuley Boundary Breaker” and invited participants to be revolutionaries, like Catherine McAuley, in the now. Caroline posed many questions throughout her presentation, which became the focus of the small group discussions and personal reflections.
The event has been organised by the following Mercy people: Sarah Daff, Amanda Humphrey, Gaby Kinsman, Elizabeth Moloney RSM, Margaret Moore RSM, Eileen Quade RSM and Angela Reed RSM and the virtual experience is supported by ISMAPNG. Mercy Partners was honoured to be involved.
