Board Director, Steven Rubic attended the 2023 National Conference of Catholic Health Australia in Perth. The extensive program included such topics as the new Aged Care Act, evolution of private health funding, social license of Catholic ministries, modern slavery, Aboriginal spirituality. These all being current issues at hand that are being experienced by our ministries.

Board Directors Kieran McCarthy and Cath Parker along with our Director of Formation, Caroline Thompson represented Mercy Partners at the annual Association of Ministerial Public Juridic Person (AMPJP) Dinner and Forum held in Melbourne on 20 and 21 August 2023.
Kieran presented at the forum on behalf of Mercy Partners on the topic, ‘Responsibilities of being a multi-charism PJP’.

Friday 18 August 2023: Australasian Mercy Secondary Schools Association Staff Conference Dinner
Brisbane
The Board’s Chair, Dr Ricki Jeffery attended the Australasian Mercy Secondary Schools Association Staff Conference Dinner held in Brisbane with guests representing secondary Mercy schools.
The dinner was a great opportunity to mix with Mercy educators and discuss Mercy spirituality and ethos.

Friday 4 August 2023: Alliance of Mercy Ministerial Public Juridic Person (MPJP) in Australia and New Zealand
Online Gathering
Dr Ricki Jeffery and Kieran McCarthy are members of a regular gathering of the Alliance of Mercy MPJPs in Australia and New Zealand.
This gathering provides an opportunity for Mercy PJPs to gather to identify and discuss collaborative opportunities including formation for governance programs, facilitating professional relationships among MPJPs governors, speaking ‘with one voice’ in order to celebrate together with the unifying Mercy heritage.
