To Care for Our Common Home

On Friday 14th June Mrs Libby Blom, Mercy Partners Formation Manager, was invited to offer Spiritual Formation at the To Care for Our Common Home Formation Day hosted by Catholic Earthcare, Caritas Australia and the Archdiocese of Brisbane. The event was aimed at School Leaders, Sustainability Coordinators and Business Managers.

Sr Colleen Geary rsm visit

Sr Colleen Geary rsm came to speak with the Mercy Partners Formation Team. We enjoyed a ‘comfortable cup of tea’ and in Catherine’s lessons of hospitality we enjoyed the opportunity to ‘waste time with visitors’. Sometimes we simply need to give ourselves over to hospitality and spend time being with and learning from each other.

Our Lady of Mercy Parramatta Professional Development Day

Director of Formation, Caroline Thompson was privileged to lead a reflection on Catherine McAuley, Francis of Assisi and peace for the staff of Our Lady of Mercy Parramatta. Participants were challenged to be apostles of peace in a world calling out for role models, advocates and activists of kindness, welcome and inclusion.


SYNOD24 consultation session: “How can we be a more co-responsible church on mission?”
6th June 2024
Mercy Partners Formation was invited by the Brisbane Archdiocese to take part in a consultation to explore the question “How can we be a more co-responsible church on mission?” through the lens of Plenary Council Decree 7: “At the Service of Communion, Participation and Mission: Governance”.
