A Time of Reflection and Connection

On Wednesday, 9 July, the Mercy Partners Board, Steward/Member Representatives, and CEO came together for a half-day joint Formation session, deepening their shared commitment to the mission and values of Mercy Partners.
The session was thoughtfully facilitated by Lisa McDonald and centred around the theme, Partners in Mission: Carrying One Another to Christ. This powerful theme invited participants to explore the essence of mercy in action and the spiritual journey of accompaniment.
Throughout the gathering, attendees engaged in meaningful reflection on the Mercy Partners Theological Framework and Mission Statement, revisiting the foundational principles that guide their collective work. As part of this reflective process, each participant shared a personal story or insight from the past year—an experience that had left a lasting impression and illuminated the mission in a tangible way.
The session fostered a spirit of unity, renewal, and shared purpose, strengthening the bonds between the Board and Steward/Member Representatives. To conclude the day, everyone gathered for a shared meal, enjoying warm conversation and the joy of each other’s company—a fitting end to a day marked by connection, reflection, and grace.
