11-13 January
Mercy Partners Formation was in Cairns participating in Facilitative Leadership Training at the Seville Mercy Conference Centre. We had many Mercy friends with us from the Institute of Sisters of Mercy of Australia and Papua New Guinea Sr Theresia, Sr Rachel, John and co-facilitating the training was the guru of facilitative leadership herself – Sr Marg. From the Sisters of Mercy Parramatta was Ana and from our ministries was Jemima (All Hallows’ School) and Paul (Mater). We made new friends with the teaching staff at Our Lady Help of Christians (Cairns) – a school founded in the Mercy tradition. Our facilitators Pam and Marg and our trainers in training Tracie, Laura, Jem and Kate were fabulous! We look forward to continuing our journey later in the year.
The next Facilitative Leadership Training course will run from Thursday 30th May 2024 to lunchtime Saturday 1st June 2024 at the Lavalla Centre 53 Fernberg Road, Paddington Brisbane.

Missionary Franciscan Sisters of the Immaculate Conception art commission is here! Sr Catherine White mfic and Mercy Partners Formation worked with award-winning contemporary Catholic artist Jen Norton Art Studio to create this beautiful artwork entitled: “Paths of Peace”. If you travel along the paths you will see when Francis: embraces the leper; speaks of peace with the Sultan; mediates the relationship between the Bishop and the Mayor; bestows his garments to the poor soldier; and in the centre St Francis walks in peace with the Wolf of Gubbio.
If you would like to purchase this artwork it is available online at https://fineartamerica.com/prof…/jen-norton/art/st+francis
