
2025 All Hallows’ School Inaugural Mass
3 March 2025, Brisbane
The All Hallows’ School community gathered for their Inaugural Mass on 3 March.
The school’s 2025 theme, “Ignite Hope with Compassionate Hearts,” inspired the students to reaffirm their commitment to hope and mercy, guided by Catherine McAuley and the Sisters of Mercy.
The Mass included special rituals, such as welcoming the school’s newest students and a blessing for the Year 12 students, along with acknowledging the dedicated service of long-serving staff members.
Mercy Partners Board Director, Kieran McCarthy, had the pleasure attending the Inaugural Mass and joining the school community of this special occasion.

Association of Ministerial Public Juridic Persons
11 and 12 March 2025, Sydney
Mercy Partners Board Director, Cath Parker, attended the Association of Ministerial Public Juridic Persons (AMPJP) Annual Strategy meeting and dinner.
The Strategy meeting and dinner were an opportunity to connect with other AMPJP members and listen to keynote speakers Jamie Calder SJ who spoke on “Theology of Canonical Stewardship” along with Susan Pascoe who provided an update on international research being undertaken on “Inclusive Governance in a Synodal Church”.

Brisbane Catholic Professionals Luncheon

The Mercy Partners Board recently connected with the wider Catholic community at the Brisbane Catholic Professionals luncheon where they had the pleasure of discovering the visionary leadership of Julieanne Alroe.
As one of the new women worldwide to have led an airport corporation, Julianne played a crucial role in the redevelopment of Brisbane Airport Corporation.
The Brisbane Catholic Professionals luncheon is an opportunity to network, learn and share a commitment to the common good.

Ministerial Public Juridic Persons Gathering

Mercy Partners Board Directors, Cath Bartolo, Patricia Bergin and Lee Anne Perry recently attended an online gathering organised by the Association of Ministerial Public Juridic Persons (AMPJP).
The gathering provided the Board with the opportunity to hear about the resources available through the AMPJP and share experiences and connect with other members of the AMPJP.

Mercy Foundation Handover Ceremony
21 March 2025, North Sydney
Mercy Partners Board Chair, Ricki Jeffery, was invited by the Sisters of Mercy North Sydney and the Board of the Mercy Foundation, to attend the Handover Ceremony of the Mercy Foundation on 21 March 2025.
The ceremony reflected on the journey of The Sisters of Mercy when they established the Mercy Foundation back in 1990 right through to the current day. The Sisters also acknowledged the outstanding service of the Mercy Foundation Board and staff for their service to the Foundation.
Ricki Jeffery, on behalf of Mercy Partners thanked the Sisters of Mercy North Sydney for entrusting their ministry to Mercy Partners and committed to honour the Foundation’s mission to strive to end homelessness, human trafficking and slavery and bring about greater social justice in the community.

Mount Alvernia College International Women’s Day High Tea

Mercy Partners Board Director, Prof Lee Anne Perry, recently had the pleasure of attending the Mount Alvernia College 2025 International Women’s Day High Tea.
The morning tea included the guest speaker, Bonnie Hancock, a world-record holder and inspirational athlete who graced the stage and shared her incredible journey of resilience and determination. It was a wonderful afternoon celebrating the strength, spirit, and joy of women.

Our Lady of Mercy College AGM
24 and 25 March 2025, Parramatta
As part of the governance Mercy Partners undertakes with its ministries, it is responsible for chairing each ministry’s Annual General Meeting (AGM). In March there were two ministries that held their AGMs – Our Lady of Mercy College Parramatta and All Hallows’ School.
Our Lady of Mercy College AGM was chaired by Mercy Partners Board Director, Patricia Bergin, on 24 March, and then Kieran McCarthy chaired the All Hallows’ School AGM on 25 March.
Chairing the AGMs provides an opportunity for members of the Mercy Partners Board to connect with our ministries and further build relationships with the ministry’s Boards.
