Mercy Partners acknowledge and pay respect to the traditional owners, the Yuggera, Turrbal, Jagera and Ugarapul People, recognising Elders past and present, on whose land we walk, work and live.
Mercy Partners is a multi-charism and multi-ministry Public Juridic Person (PJP), that welcomes new charisms and ministry sectors.
Mercy Partners is open to religious Congregations/Orders who are seeking security for their ministries within a PJP in the Catholic Church. Mercy Partners’ Statute and Constitution enable it to take responsibility for other Catholic ministries that are entrusted to its care.
Approval Process
Religious Congregations/Orders can apply to transition a ministry to Mercy Partners, and with approval from the Mercy Partners Board and Stewards’ Representatives, the partnership is formalised with Mercy Partners becoming a canonical sponsor and civil owner of the ministry.
As part of the approval process, the Congregation/Order must seek approval from their Leadership team to transition their ministry to a PJP.
Ministry Transition Guide
Mercy Partners has produced a detailed Ministry Transition Guide that steps out the stages involved with transiting a ministry from a Congregation/Order into Mercy Partners. The illustration below details the pathways that form the transition journey.
