Mercy Partners acknowledge and pay respect to the traditional owners, the Yuggera, Turrbal, Jagera and Ugarapul People, recognising Elders past and present, on whose land we walk, work and live.

Nurture and educate, in partnership with families, young, articulate women of integrity who are increasingly independent, discerning, creative and resilient.
Vision Statement excerpt
St Rita’s was established by the Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1926 and is built on the traditional lands of the Turrbul and Jagera peoples. The College recognises two patrons: Nano Nagle, the founder of the Presentation Order, and St Rita of Cascia, the Saint of Impossible Causes, after whom the College is named.
Today, St Rita’s is a modern school with a rich tradition in academic and sporting distinction, cultural diversity and commitment to social justice. Students are encouraged to continue in the Presentation tradition and live the College motto ‘Action not Words’ by pursuing excellence while developing the whole person based on the values Jesus lived and taught.
Our community seeks to inspire engaging, inquisitive and passionate learning, leading to action for a just world. Our vision is to embody and promote leadership as service, growing from critical reflection and leading to action for justice; challenge and support each member of our community in an environment of collaboration and respect; and nurture and educate, in partnership with families, young, articulate women of integrity who are increasingly independent, discerning, creative and resilient.
St Rita’s College was entrusted to the care of Mercy Partners by the Queensland Presentation Sisters on 27 May 2014.
