Prayer and Meeting Resource
Mercy Partners has developed a Prayer Resource focused on synodality, aimed at deepening the practice of discernment and dialogue in ministry settings. This resource, grounded in the teachings of Pope Francis, emphasises inclusivity, the value of every voice, and the collective nature of decision-making, whilst offering a structured approach to embodying synodality, fostering a more inclusive, collaborative, and prayerful decision-making process. The Synodal Way resource is designed to guide both individuals and groups through spiritual conversations, enabling participants to listen, reflect, and engage with one another in a spirit of unity and mutual respect. This resource serves not only as a framework for spiritual reflection but also as a guide for making discerned decisions, ensuring that synodality informs all aspects of ministry life and decision-making moving forward

Prayer Resource – The Synodal Way
This resource offers a powerful tool for fostering synodality in ministry by guiding inclusive, reflective, and prayerful conversations. Inspired by Pope Francis’ teachings, it helps individuals and groups engage in spiritual discernment using diverse methods like Lectio Divina, Ignatian Discernment, and Conversations in the Spirit. The resource includes a facilitator’s guide, focus questions, reflection processes, and scripture to deepen the experience, empowering leaders to make collaborative, prayerful decisions. Training and support is available to help integrate these practices into ongoing ministry life for clear and inclusive decision-making.
Prayer Resources
Prayer is an important part of any meeting for focus, to reinforce Catholic identity and to call God’s blessing on the proceedings. Prayer time is also formative as it allows those present to examine aspects of life, faith and experience. Mercy Partners prayer resources have been popular with ministries across Australia because they provide a set of prayers (10 copies of each individual prayer) packaged ready for use in meetings. The prayers allow the focus on a particular theme or aspect of Gospel life, such as Laudato Si, Catholic Social Teaching and the Parables, enabling prayer to be both spiritually enriching and a catalyst for learning.
