Measuring Social Impact

The Trustee has adopted the Theory of Change (ToC) as its preferred framework for assessing social impact of grants.  The Trustee acknowledges that not all grants will be successful and also not all grants will achieve the intended outcomes, and that some initiatives may not really align with the ToC model.

The Theory of Change (ToC) is a methodology for planning, monitoring, and evaluating an initiative.

It enables the responsible team to articulate complexities, engage with stakeholders to reach shared understanding, and strengthen decision-making by ensuring alignment, identifying evidence, clarifying assumptions, and recognising associated risks
